Lighthouse ‘Het Paard van Marken’ 
Marken’s harbour and the iconic green houses are what attract most people to the peninsula. However, what draws photographers to Marken is the lighthouse at the most easterly point in Marken, ‘Het Paard van Marken’. When you see the lighthouse, you know immediately why it is so popular. If you are on Marken, you do not want to miss it. In about 20 minutes cycle along meadows and the Gouwzee to the lighthouse.
